THE HOWARD Stern Show’s furious axed staffers are fighting for more severance pay after the initial paltry offer.
Multiple sources told The U.S. Sun that many of the laid-off employees declined the initial severance package offer of just about one week of pay per year worked.
One insider said that not everyone immediately signed the strict NDA that was attached to their packages, as some pushed for more money on their way out the door.
“Some people are still negotiating their exit packages,” one insider said.
Another source said that other staffers ended up feeling okay about their parting checks after some back-and-forth with HR execs at SiriusXM.
While some have described their exit as a total shock, once insider candidly claimed: “The writing was on the wall.”
“Staff knew these layoffs were coming,” the insider added.
The recent layoffs followed a Zoom call which announced the show’s marquee talent would only be doing one live show a week beginning in September.
More than a dozen staffers were let go, including at least five on-air hosts.
As The U.S. Sun reported earlier this week, Rahsaan Rogers was laid off after 16 years on the show.

He took to LinkedIn to confirm the news.
“After 16 incredible years with The Howard Stern Show and the Howard Stern Channels, I’m opening a new chapter,” Rahssan wrote.
“I got to interview people I grew up admiring, direct live broadcasts in real time, and mentor some seriously talented producers along the way.”
Wrapping up his message, he added, “To everyone I worked with over these 16 years: thank you. What a ride.”
Frustrated listeners are canceling their subscriptions en masse as news spreads that the shock jock is slimming down his schedule.
Moving forward, the show will air a single three-hour block each week.
Both Stern and his longtime main co-host Robin Quivers, now both 73, originally teamed up back in March 1981.
They dominated terrestrial radio with five live broadcasts a week before making their historic $500 million move to Sirius Satellite Radio in January 2006.
Once established at SiriusXM, their schedule steadily trimmed down, dropping first to four days a week and eventually to three, with frequent vacations and reruns filling the rest of the calendar.
This latest reduction comes shortly after Stern locked in a three-year deal to stay with SiriusXM through 2028.
